Living with direction means becoming the intentional compass of one’s own life. The marbled surface suggests movement and possibility, while a small, colorful triangle evokes alignment and conscious choice. It speaks to the realization that we are not passive observers, but the architects of our path — free to pivot, recalibrate, or step away from a trajectory that no longer serves our growth. The triangle does not point toward a fixed destiny, but toward the active practice of choosing.
The piece honors the power of small, medium, and huge decisions — those shifts and decisive turns that redefine a lifetime. It acknowledges the courage required to recognize when a course must change, when the imagined future calls for a different direction than the one we are currently walking.
In this work, I reflect on the responsibility and freedom of being cause, not effect, in one’s own life. Aware of the weight of each decision, and choosing, again and again, to steer with intention.
