Monsters screaming out to release the tension that they have caused.
Dont let those inner mosnters dictate your life. Who is controlling, who is driving, who is deciding what matters. You are the owner of your life and you only have one.
For the series Inner Monsters I experimented with different materials and aesthetics to represent the monsters that live withing us. Every monster depicted is screaming with all their strength in an attempt to let go of frustrations. Monsters are a way of representing the inner negative voice that whispers in ones ear: you are not good enough, you are an impostor, among others. They represent Monsters could be representing anxiety, impostor syndrome, frustrations, failures, not good enough, insignificant.
The wide mouth, tongue out scream is strong, forceful, attempting to let it all out. The scream is believed to debilitate the monsters, or to drown out what they represent. Having the same monster that represents the negativity also be the one screaming to drown themselves represents the taming of the mosnter. not be afraid of them
